The Story Behind The Foundation
The Patel Foundation of the Lowcountry was born from personal experience, deep faith, and a profound desire to give back.
Ronak Patel, an immigrant from a small farm in India, arrived in South Carolina in 1987 with his family in search of a better life. He grew up watching his parents work tirelessly balancing their traditional Indian values of service and humility with the challenges of building a future in America. Over time, Ronak carved out his own path as a successful entrepreneur in the convenience store, pharmacy, and real estate sectors. But even as his businesses florished, something deeper called to him.
